I am a rabid movie and buff and consume several movies a week. Since there are so many out there these days, I
have decided to give a quick review of everything I see- sort of like a public service for the movie impaired.
So be it good, bad or just ugly, I have said a little something about it here.
Casino Royale (2006) - First off I must tell you, implore you to remember that this is not your father’s Bond. This is a
Bond for the new century. We are treated to a thrill ride that is believable and topical yet taking us from the edge of
our seats to the back of them in an instance. Gone is the campy dialog, gadgets and super villains but the thing that
made Bond an icon is there and as powerful as ever. He comes splashing onto the screen oozing powerful
masculinity and sleek sophistication while surprisingly this film manages to accomplish exactly the same.
And to answer the question that everyone has been whispering about or screaming about, Daniel Craig delivers.
His commanding performance moves effortlessly from the soft subtle scenes to the action showcases with such
ease and grace you buy this blond Bond without so much as a bat of an eye. He is truly something to behold.
Realistic and quiet but large and heart stopping, this film delivers one fantastic turn after another. I was shocked
and amazed while moved and entertained. Sophistication and smarts is the name of this game.
And a word to the wise, pay close attention to the cell phones. To a viewer not paying close attention to their little
screens is libel to miss something vital.

I have a few shows on the television that I can not seem to get enough of. Check them out!
Every so often I tend to come across something, a book, a movie or music, that is so good I can't help but to
recommend it.
And the new "Flavor of the Moment" is... Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends on Cartoon Network. I love it! But the
best part is Coco. I will sit and wait just to hear her say "Cocococo!". The first season DVD is out now.
I would also like to give another recommendation for Welsh author Phil Rickman, and his Merrily Watkins mysteries.
Check him out at his Official Website.
The Recent Reviews...
Flushed Away (2006) - Many people missed this little gem because of some hideously off marketing by its studios.
But don’t let that stop you. Created by the brilliant and innovative team that brought the world Wallace and Gromit,
this off beat little animated film tells an enduring story of a pet rat who finds his way into the sewers through a toilet
flushing. While being introduced to the world of his free brethren, this lonely rat is swept into a story of self discovery
and a plot by a nefarious frog out to wash away the riff raff. Sporting a fantastic voice cast, Flushed Away will have
you smiling by the last frame.
Oh and the best part, watch for the slugs. From the little cute songs to turning up in this most hilarious places, these
little slimy crooners and hams steal every scene.

Stranger Than Fiction (2006) - An author writes. She crafts a story of witty contemplation and tragic endings all
centered on a rather boring and unenthusiastic IRS agent. But writer’s block has frozen her as she attempts to
create the perfect death for her tax man. What she doesn’t know is her character is real and all her meddlesome
yarn spinning is turning his once boring life upside down. Is his life a work of fiction? Does she kill him before he
can stop the writer?
In the same quirky vain as Being John Malkovich, Stranger than Fiction lives up to its name in more ways than one.
With the always fantastic Emma Thompson as the god-like writer and Will Ferrell as the hapless “character” this
story unfolds like a delicate flower subtle and magnificent in execution. But the two surprises here is the touching
and quiet portrayal by the usually chaotic Ferrell and Maggie Gyllenhaal as the ornery but lovable gal Friday. They are
a triumph.
